Science and Engineering Apprentice Program (SEAP)
NRL participates in the Science and Engineering Apprentice Program (SEAP) during the summer in cooperation with the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) and as part of the Department of Defense SEAP. This program offers select high school students a unique opportunity to explore and pursue careers in science and technology by opening to them NRL's vast, varied resources and by allowing students to spend eight weeks working full-time on unclassified tasks. Under the direction of NRL scientists and engineers, students actively engage in research problems, planning sessions, special program seminars, and writing and presentation of a final research paper.
Science and Engineering Apprentice Program—Student contains information on eligibility, application, and selection of student apprentices.
Science and Engineering Apprentice Program—Mentor provides information on opportunities to mentor SEAP apprentices.
