program engages university faculty members in the research programs
of NRL to develop the basis for continuing research of interest to
the Navy and to establish continuing relations among faculty members
and their professional peers.

Cooperative Program for Scientific Interchange
program increases the opportunities for the science education of midshipmen
at the Naval Academy; broadens the opportunity for USNA faculty members
to keep current in their fields of interest by making available to
them the scientific expertise of the NRL professional staff and the
use of NRL research facilities; and provides scientific support to
the research program at NRL by making available the scientific expertise
of the Naval Academy faculty.
